Initial check orders must called-in or requested in person at an any branch location. You may reorder checks by contacting us by phone, visiting a branch or by selecting "reorder checks" within online banking or the mobile app. Please see the Service Fees page on our website for Check Printing Fees. Do you offer starter checks?

We do offer temporary checks to serve as a convenient way to access your funds while waiting for your permanent checks. Please see our Service Fee Schedule for current pricing.

What is the difference between current balance and available balance?

Your current balance reflects the full amount of all deposits to your account as well as payment transactions that have been posted to your account. It does not reflect checks you have written and are still outstanding or transactions that have been authorized but are still pending. Available balance is the amount of money in your account that is available. The available balance is your current balance less holds place on deposit, holds on debit cards or other transactions that have been authorized but are not yet posted, holds related to pledges of account funds and minimum balance requirements or to comply with court orders. Available balance is used to determine whether there are sufficient funds in your account to pay items, including checks and drafts, as well as ACH, debit card and other electronic transactions.

How do I connect my checking account to Zelle, Venmo or other P2P services?

While we don't have direct partnerships with P2P payment networks like Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or Apple Cash, you should still be able to connect your Eglin FCU checking account. Simply follow the instructions provided by the P2P payment network provider on their website. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to our Member Services team at 850.862.0111 (option 4) for assistance.

I was given a check written to myself and another individual or entity, who needs to sign it?

Check endorsement requirements may vary for checks written to more than one person, depending on several factors. Generally, if the check is made payable to two people with the word “and” between their names, both parties will typically need to sign. Conversely, if the check is made payable to two people with the word “or” between their names, usually only one party needs to sign. For more information regarding check endorsements or if you are unsure who should sign, please call us at 850.862.0111 (option 4) or visit one of our branch locations during business hours.
